IMPERIAL HOTEL, KYOTO

We completed the construction of Imperial Hotel, Kyoto, a project that harmoniously balances preservation, restoration, and expansion while inheriting the architectural character of the Yasaka Kaikan, a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. As the fourth hotel in the 135-year history of Imperial Hotel, this new property stands as a contemporary landmark that seamlessly integrates cultural heritage with modern design, creating a refined space in harmony with the historic streetscape of Gion.

ARCALIS mRNA Drug Product (DP) Facility

This is the second-phase construction of Japan’s first project site to provide integrated production of messenger RNA vaccines, from drug substance manufacturing to drug product formulation and shipment. The DP Building, a drug product manufacturing facility, was constructed as an expansion to the ARCALIS mRNA Drug Substance Facility, completed in July 2023. We undertook the building and production equipment as an integrated package, and completed handover at the end of February 2026 after testing and commissioning.

AIGAWA DAM

A dam planned as a fundamental flood control measure for the Aigawa River basin in northern Osaka Prefecture, following the heavy rains of July 1967 known as the Hokusetsu Heavy Rainfall, has been completed. Constructed approximately 6 to 7 km from central Ibaraki City, the dam helps protect downstream areas from increasingly frequent short-duration heavy rainfall. It significantly enhances flood control capacity and contributes to creating a safer living environment for local residents.

UCI Mesa Court Oso Tower

Webcor, a member of the Obayashi Group, constructed “Oso Tower,” a student housing facility with approximately 400 beds, within the Mesa Court residential community at the University of California, Irvine. The building features enhanced study spaces and lounges designed to foster interaction among students, supporting both living and learning. It is an environmentally conscious building that is expected to achieve LEED Platinum certification.

OAK LOGISTICS CENTER NAGOYA

OAK LOGISTICS CENTER NAGOYA is an urban logistics facility developed, designed, constructed, and operated through collaboration across the Obayashi Group. Electricity generated by solar power is used within the facility, while surplus power is supplied to facilities operated by Obayashi Road. The facility also employs Obayashi’s proprietary microbial nutrient “Chloroclean™” to remediate groundwater contaminated with VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
